About Us

The primary mission of the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office is to enforce the laws in a fair and impartial manner, recognizing both the statutory and judicial limitations of the Sheriff's authority. To coordinate with other law enforcement agencies in West Baton Rouge Parish as well as state and federal law enforcement agencies in their efforts within the parish to preserve the public peace, protect the rights of persons, protect property and prevent crime. Provide assistance to citizens in urgent situations. The West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office is responsible for the collection of parish taxes, security of the courts, the service of legal process and orders of the court, enforcement of Louisiana Revised Statutes within the boundaries of West Baton Rouge Parish.
